Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does Casual Hoteles have hotels in Madrid?
Yes, and with great pride. Our commitment in the capital is the Casual del Teatro Madrid, a themed boutique hotel right in the historic center. Madrid is one of the most vibrant cities in Europe and we have been making it our own for some time now. If you know how we work in other destinations, you already know what to expect: plenty of personality, an incredible location, and zero generic rooms.
  • What is the best area to stay in Madrid?
If there is one place where everything converges in Madrid, it is Puerta del Sol. That is to say, it is the point from which everything is nearby: the Gran Vía, the Literary Quarter (Barrio de las Letras), the great museums of the Art Walk, the stop where all the metro lines connect... Our hotel, Casual del Teatro Madrid, is in the heart of the center, 300 meters from Puerta del Sol. If you value being able to get around on foot without depending on the metro for almost anything, the location could not be better.
  • How to get to the Casual Hoteles hotel in Madrid from the airport or the train station?
To get from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (T4) to Sol station, the most comfortable and economical option is the Cercanías train (Line C-1) to Chamartín, and then transferring for free to lines C-3, C-3a, or C-4. The ticket costs around €2.60. If your flight arrives at T1, T2, or T3, you can go to T4 using the free shuttle bus. Keep the schedule in mind: The Cercanías service operates from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. If your flight lands close to closing time, you will not have enough time to get off the plane, catch the train, and make the transfer, so you will have to Search for an alternative mode of transport. You can also take an express bus (24h service) for €5 from the airport, which will drop you off at the beautiful Plaza de Cibeles in 30-40 minutes, and then it is a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Taxis or ride-sharing services (VTC) are also quick options. There is a flat rate of €30 for taxi trips from the airport to the city center. The journey takes about 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic, and will drop you off right at the hotel door. From Atocha station (AVE), you can reach the center in less than 15 minutes by metro or taxi. From Chamartín, the time is similar. Madrid is well connected, no matter where you are coming from.
  • Is Madrid a good city to visit with children?
Madrid with children is a great plan. Retiro Park has rowboats, puppets, and plenty of space for the little ones to run around without feeling crowded. You can walk among dinosaur skeletons at the Museum of Natural Sciences, visit mummies and explore our culture at the Archaeological Museum, and even the Prado Museum and the Reina Sofía have family programs that make art digestible even for the most skeptical. Warner Park, Faunia, and the Madrid Amusement Park are almost mandatory stops. We remind you that you can book these activities directly from our experiences page. And if the weather is good, the entire city becomes a park. In our hotel, you will find different room configurations so that the family fits comfortably. Tell us how you are traveling, and we will help you find the best option.
  • What does breakfast include at Casual hotels?
Our hotels offer a full buffet breakfast, which includes fresh fruit, cereals, hot dishes, cold cuts, dairy products, juices, etc. We have picnic options, vegetarian items, and gluten-free products available.
  • What to see and do in Madrid?
Wherever you start, Madrid will hook you. Some essentials: • Puerta del Sol and Gran Vía — The city's fastest pulse. Ideal for starting to calibrate the Madrid rhythm. • Plaza Mayor — 17th-century architecture, vermouth, and tourists from all over the world. The perfect mid-morning plan. • Prado Museum — Goya, Velázquez, Hieronymus Bosch. One of the best museums in the world, without hyperbole. • Reina Sofía Museum — Guernica and contemporary art. Essential if you like 20th-century art. • Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum — The one that completes the art triangle. Together, the three form a route that has no rival in Europe. • Retiro Park — The city's green lung. For walking, rowing, reading, or simply doing nothing with great style. • Barrio de las Letras — Cobblestone streets, historic taverns, and that bohemian energy that is contagious on its own. • San Miguel Market — Tapas, pintxos, and a drink at any time. The place where Madrid is eaten with the eyes before the mouth. • Malasaña and Chueca — For those who want the most neighborhood-oriented, current, and lively Madrid.
  • When is the best time to visit Madrid?
Madrid has high season all year round because it is a capital with its own agenda. That said, spring (April and May) and autumn (September and October) are the most pleasant times: perfect temperatures and the whole city in top form. In May, there are the San Isidro festivities, with street parties, concerts, and the most authentic traditional atmosphere. At Christmas, the city is filled with lights and markets that are well worth visiting. Summer is hot—Madrid in August can really push it—but the cultural offerings don't stop. There is no bad time; you just have to know what to Search.
  • Is there parking near the Casual Hoteles hotel in Madrid?
The hotel does not have its own parking, but the center of Madrid has public car parks just a few minutes away. If you arrive by car, the most convenient option is to leave it parked and get around on foot or by public transport during your stay: the Madrid Metro is one of the best in Europe and takes you to any point in the city in no time.
  • What is Be Casual and what advantages does it have if I travel to Madrid?
Be Casual is our travelers' club. Signing up is free and the benefits are real: discounts on bookings, priority access to offers, and exclusive promotions. If Madrid is one of those destinations you return to —and it usually is— it makes no sense not to be in the club.
  • What languages does the hotel staff speak?
Our staff can assist you in Spanish, English, and Italian at all receptions. And sometimes, depending on rotation, we provide support in other languages.
  • Is Casual Hoteles a sustainable accommodation option?
Yes, and not just in words. At Casual Hoteles, our commitment to sustainability is part of our identity as a chain. Most of our hotels operate with a 100% green energy supply, which allows us to avoid more than a million kilos of CO2 per year. In addition, we measure our carbon footprint in all our establishments, we have eliminated single-use plastics, and we work with a purchasing policy that prioritizes local trade. One of our most special initiatives is the Casual Hoteles Forest: if during your stay you decide not to request the daily cleaning service, you contribute directly to the reforestation of an area in Teruel that was deforested 500 years ago. We also hold the Ecostars hotel sustainability certificate and collaborate with the European Green Capital. In 2023 we received the HOSBEC Award for the chain with the best CSR, and in 2024 the Roca Award for Best Corporate Social Responsibility. If you want to know all the details, you can consult our sustainability page.
