Casual Hoteles continues its expansion in Europe with its first hotel in Greece
08/04/2025April 8, 2025. As Juan Carlos Sanjuán announced at the beginning of this year, the priority for Casual Hoteles in 2025 is to grow in Europe. Thus, after inaugurating its first hotel in Milan in February, it is now the turn of another major European capital: Athens.
There, next to the central Omonia Square and close to the well-known National Theatre, is the Casual Kubic Athens, a modern 112-room hotel, which also features a breakfast buffet, cafeteria, gym, massage room, and a rooftop with a solarium that enjoys spectacular views of the city, including the Parthenon.
As is characteristic of the chain, Casual Hoteles plans to theme the hotel in the short to medium term, using in this instance artistic elements of cubist inspiration, an art movement that also had a presence in Greek art and architecture in the 1920s and 1930s.
2025 Goal: 30 hotels.
According to the president of Casual Hoteles, “with this addition, and the opening last week of our first hotel in the Balearic Islands, the Casual Bahía Ibiza, we are raising our offering to a total of 27 hotels and 1,026 rooms in 16 destinations across Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece.”
This number of establishments, he explains, “brings us closer to the goal we have set for 2025: to reach the figure of 30 hotels. Furthermore, as happened with the opening of our first hotel in Italy, our entry into Greece is going to accelerate this expansion, because upon coming into contact with the local market, new business opportunities always arise.”
Casual Hoteles exceeds 1,000 rooms:
Currently, Casual Hoteles has 27 hotels and 1,026 rooms in 16 destinations in Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece. Of these, 18 are operated under a lease regime, including the new Casual Kubic Athens, 1 under a management regime, and another 8 are franchises.
