Bosque Casual Hotels
At Casual Hoteles we have our own forest, located in Perales de la Alfambra in Teruel, in order to contribute to the reforestation of this area that was deforested 500 years ago to build the Invincible Armada.
The way we make our forest grow is through our guests, because if they decide not to have their room cleaned, we provide them with a code so that they can activate a plantation. In this way, we do not spend so much energy, water and products on cleaning the rooms unnecessarily on a daily basis.

Energy efficiency and 100% green energy
Most of our hotels have 100% green energy supply, which has helped us to avoid 1,134,000 kg of CO2 annually (also 25,450 trees planted per year, according to the most internationally recognised conversion factor). In addition, we are continuously looking for ways to reduce our energy consumption and therefore our environmental impact.
Carbon Footprint calculation in all our assets in Scope 1 and 2
At Casual Hoteles we measure our carbon footprint in all our assets, covering Scope 1 and 2, with the aim of knowing, reducing and offsetting our environmental impact. We monitor energy consumption and direct and indirect emissions generated in our activity, which allows us to make more sustainable decisions.
Purchasing policy and waste management
Our purchasing policy is based on trying to support local businesses, as we always try to blend in with our surroundings. In addition, we have disposed of most of the paper in our facilities and single-use plastics, which allows us to significantly reduce our daily waste generated.
Efficient water management
At Casual Hotels we are committed to efficient water management, especially in areas with water shortages such as Catalonia. In our Casual Colors hotel in Barcelona, we have participated in the SMARTH2OTEL 2.0 project, installing smart meters to monitor consumption in real time and optimise its use. In addition, we have implemented flow reducers in showers and taps, reducing consumption by 30% without affecting our guests' experience.
Social Responsibility
Equality and Inclusion
At Casual Hoteles we work to offer people with disabilities an experience as accessible and safe as for the rest of the people, that is why we have activated an awareness plan among our teams to sensitise them on inclusion and prepare them to interact with people with disabilities. To this end, we have carried out a series of trainings for the correct attention of people with diversity with the support of the company Visualfy, among other initiatives.
Collaborations with NGOs
We collaborate with the Cruz Roja in job placement initiatives, with Unicef to help children affected by climate change and with Save The Children, to offer 5% of the turnover of our solidarity rooms.

We believe that the best way to have a positive impact on social issues is to have a positive impact on what is in our hands. That is, our clients. That's why we look for ways to make things easy for people who need to stay away from home. That is why we think of services adapted to the different conditions of each person or family.
Support for those affected by the hurricane DANA
At Casual Hoteles we believe in the importance of being at the side of communities in the most difficult times. In response to the damage caused by the DANA, we allocated a total of €179,000 in donations, directly helping 469 affected families. This contribution translated into the delivery of essential resources such as household appliances, mattresses, tables and furniture, coordinating with local organisations and municipalities to ensure that the aid reached those who needed it most.

Casual Movement is an initiative by Casual Hotels that aims to transcend the purely business sphere. At Casual Hotels, we seek to promote social values that drive positive change in each person, not only as an activator of their own change, but also in their immediate surroundings, achieving a domino effect that helps build a better world.
We understand the utopia of wanting to change the world. But we are also convinced that any small personal change can trigger a butterfly effect that leads to shared transformation.
The first event was held on April 18, 2024, in Valencia, with six speakers, one musical performance, and 192 attendees.
