Almost 50% of the new directors at Casual Hoteles come from their own ranks.
07/05/2025May 7, 2025. The strong expansion that Casual Hoteles has undertaken in recent years, both in Spain and in Italy, Portugal, and, starting in 2025, Greece, has required solid reinforcement in terms of human resources.
In this sense, the group created by Juan Carlos Sanjuán has sought to strengthen its talent pool, filling almost 50% of the new manager positions with experienced and committed professionals from its existing staff.
This is the case for Leticia Olivares and Luis GarcÃa, the new managers of the hotels located in Valencia, Casual Socarrat and Casual del Cine, respectively.
Leticia Olivares, who holds a Tourism Degree from the University of Valladolid and a Master's in Marketing, Commercialization, and Revenue Management from the Ostelea School of Tourism & Hospitality, joined Casual Hoteles in 2023 as Front Office Manager at Casual Vintage. After serving as deputy manager of Casual Socarrat, this year she has assumed the management of said establishment. Previously, Leticia Olivares had worked in other hotels such as Casa Camper Barcelona and FeetUp Hotels, among others.
For his part, Luis GarcÃa, who studied for his Tourism Diploma at the Escuela de Turismo Pax in Valencia, joined Casual Hoteles in 2024 as Front Office Manager at the Casual Vintage hotel. His excellent performance earned him his recent appointment as manager of the Casual del Cine hotel. GarcÃa has extensive experience in the sector, having held various positions in hotels such as SH Colón Valencia, Firmus Apartments, Valencia Center, and Eurostars Gran Valencia, among others.
To lead its first project in the Balearic Islands, Casual Hoteles has chosen a young Catalan woman with market knowledge who also has an interesting international background. This is Iris Oliva, who, after completing her Tourism Degree at the Euroaula School of Tourism in Barcelona and the International Hotel Management and Tourism Business Master's at the Brookins Business Institute, began her professional career in prestigious hotels in Barcelona such as Condes de Barcelona and the Arts The Ritz Carlton, as well as at the MIM by Leo Messi in Baqueira Beret, among others. Before taking on the position of manager of the new Casual BahÃa Ibiza, Iris was working at the Hotel Torre del Mar in Ibiza and spent a year in Australia, where she worked at the Emporium Hotel in Brisbane.
Native professional experience to lead its expansion in Europe:
Casual Hoteles arrived in Italy at the end of 2022 with the opening of the Casual Rinascimento Firenze hotel. Since then, contacts to expand its presence in the country intensified, bearing fruit in early 2025 with the inauguration of its first hotel in Milan: Casual Eclettico Milano. In addition, it has a project in its portfolio in Naples, scheduled to open by the end of this same year.
Due to the peculiarities of the destination, Casual Hoteles has opted to hire experienced professionals from the Italian market to lead the hotels it has there.
Thus, Roberto Cattolico, who holds a degree in Human Sciences of the Environment, Territory and Landscape, specializing in Tourism and Enhancement of the Territory from the University of Milan, has taken over the management of the new Casual Eclettico Milano hotel. Roberto has developed almost all of his professional experience in Milan, where he has held various positions in hotels such as Barcella al Mulino, Wagner, Mulino Grande, Glam, and Spice, among others.
Regarding Florence, the chain has chosen a professional who, in a way, also knows the Spanish market, as he was at the helm of the Room Mate Isabella and Room Mate Luca hotels. We are referring to Gianni Andreucci, who has just been appointed manager of the Casual Rinascimento Firenze hotel. Gianni, who holds a Master's in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Commerce of the University of Florence, is very knowledgeable about the Florentine hotel sector. In this regard, he has worked in many high-quality hotels and resorts such as Villa Gabriele D'Annunzio, Palazzo Ognissanti, Dimora Ghirlandaio, and Tenuta di Sticciano, among others.
