Casual Hoteles reports a successful summer season

Modern bedroom with vanity and bed, perfect for casual corporate stays.

September 23, 2024. 2024 is proving to be a good year for Casual Hoteles in terms of expansion, with the recent opening of its 25th hotel and the announcement of its entry into Ibiza starting in 2025; but it is also proving to be so in terms of revenue.

In this regard, the Valencian chain founded in 2013 by Juan Carlos Sanjuán has just made public the results obtained by its hotels during the summer. In terms of revenue, during the months of June, July, and August, in which the average occupancy was 94.80%, the hotel group obtained 8,677,356 million euros, compared to the 8,088,778 million achieved in the same period of 2023, which represents an increase of 7.28%.

Part of that improvement is due to the growth that REVPAR continues to experience, whose average during the 3 summer months stood at 111.24 euros, compared to 104.05 euros in 2023, increasing by 6.91% in relation to the previous year.

If there are no unforeseen events, the forecasts for the last quarter of the year remain on an upward path, where REVPAR still shows room for growth.

Consolidation of the international market:

Regarding the profile of clients who stayed at Casual Hoteles establishments from June to August, the international market continues to rise, already generating 73.78%, compared to 26.22% corresponding to the national market, which has retracted by 0.56% compared to the summer of 2023.

In general terms, the rise of these foreign tourists is also related to the improvement in revenue, as they stand out in several aspects: they tend to pay higher rates, book further in advance, consume more, and stay for longer periods.

After the Spanish, Italian tourists lead the ranking of clients at Casual Hoteles establishments, generating 14.43% of stays, a figure that has increased by 9.93% compared to 2023, when it was 13.09%.

Behind them, completing the TOP 5 nationalities, are, as in the previous year, the French, the British, and the Americans, with 6.85%, 5.45%, and 5.26%, respectively.

 About Casual Hoteles:

Casual Hoteles is a Valencian hotel company, founded in 2013 by Juan Carlos Sanjuán, with the aim of becoming the benchmark for themed urban accommodation in Spain. All its hotels have personal decor, inspired by the destinations where they are located, and offer quality standards and central locations at affordable prices.

They are fun, surprising, and provocative, making Casual Hoteles a disruptive chain that, in 2018, was recognized with the Hostelco Award for “Best Hotel Concept”; in 2023 it obtained the First HOSBEC Tourism Sustainability Award, in the “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy” category; and in 2024 it has been chosen as “Chain with the best Corporate Social Responsibility” in the XIV Edition of the Roca Hotel Initiative Awards.

In this sense, the group also stands out for its policy of firm social and environmental commitment through its own Code of Ethics, and for its collaborations with NGOs such as Save the Children and Unicef, among others. Currently, Casual Hoteles has 25 hotels and 881 rooms in 13 cities in Spain, Portugal, and Italy, of which 1 is owned, 1 is under management, 15 are operated under a lease agreement, and 8 are franchised. In addition, it plans to incorporate 2 new hotels in 2025 in Ibiza (42) and Naples (34).
