Casual Hoteles starts 2025 by expanding its presence in Italy

Sunlit Gothic cathedral, perfect for casual corporate events.

January 10, 2025. For Casual Hoteles, 2025 will be a year of international expansion. This is demonstrated by its upcoming opening, which was just announced today by its president, Juan Carlos Sanjuán.

The chosen destination is Italy, where the Valencian chain entered in 2022 with the iconic hotel Casual Rinascimento Firenze. On this occasion, the city will be Milan, where Casual Eclettico Milano will open its doors on February 1st.

According to Juan Carlos Sanjuán, "it is a centrally located 43-room establishment that, as is customary for our chain, enjoys a privileged location very close to Milan Central Station and the Duomo, and just a few meters from the famous and commercial Corso Buenos Aires."

Regarding its theme, he explains, "Milan is a cosmopolitan city where design is present on every corner. That is why we wanted Casual Eclettico Milano to have an absolutely eclectic decoration, which fuses very retro elements with others that are most avant-garde. In addition, it stands out for being the only hotel in Milan with a black facade, and for having a photo booth that invites you to travel back in time to take photos in front of it."

2025: 3 confirmed openings:

In addition to the opening of Casual Ecleticco Milano, Casual Hoteles plans to inaugurate 2 other hotels in 2025: Casual Bahía Ibiza, with 42 rooms, which will begin the season next April; and Casual Miraviglie Napoli with 34 rooms, which could open throughout the second half of this same year.

Thanks to this, and if there are no unforeseen events, the Valencian company will close 2025 by increasing its offer to a total of 28 hotels and 973 rooms, distributed in 15 cities in Spain (22), Italy (3), and Portugal (3). However, it is possible that new projects currently being analyzed will be added before the end of the year.

About Casual Hoteles:

Casual Hoteles is a Valencian hotel company, founded in 2013 by Juan Carlos Sanjuán, with the goal of becoming the benchmark for themed urban accommodation in Spain. All its hotels have personalized decor, inspired by the destinations in which they are located, and offer quality standards and central locations at affordable prices.

They are fun, surprising, and provocative, making Casual Hoteles a disruptive chain that, in 2018, was recognized with the Hostelco Award for "Best Hotel Concept"; in 2023 it obtained the First HOSBEC Tourism Sustainability Award, in the "Best Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy" category; and in 2024 it was chosen as the "Chain with the Best Corporate Social Responsibility" in the 14th Edition of the Roca Awards for Hotel Initiative.

In this sense, the group also stands out for its policy of firm social and environmental commitment through its own Code of Ethics, and for its collaborations with NGOs such as Save the Children and UNICEF, among others.

Currently, Casual Hoteles has 25 hotels and 854 rooms in 13 cities in Spain, Portugal, and Italy, of which 1 is owned, 1 is under management, 15 are operated under a lease regime, and 8 are franchised. Furthermore, in 2025 it plans to incorporate 3 new hotels in Milan (43), Ibiza (42), and Naples (34).
