Casual business breakfast: eggs, pastries, and orange juice buffet.

January 28, 2026. The chain Casual Hoteles has started 2026 by boosting its solid social responsibility policy. On this occasion, it has signed its first collaboration agreement with an agri-food company, which seeks to promote healthy habits while supporting research and outreach projects in favor of children's health and well-being.

The chosen company was the Fundación Alma de Luna, whose Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) made with Picual olives now presides over all breakfast buffets in the hotels that the Valencian group has in Spain.

Thus, this gourmet product, whose profits are entirely dedicated to the development of solidarity and research projects focused on childhood health and well-being by the Granada-based foundation, can now be found in all the hotels that Casual has in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Benidorm, San Sebastián, Ibiza, Málaga, Seville, Cádiz and, of course, Granada itself.

According to Juan Carlos Sanjuán, president and founder of Casual Hoteles, “although this collaboration expands our field of action by involving the food industry, it remains closely linked to other aspects related to environmental protection, the creation of local employment, and childhood well-being, which we have been supporting for many years with other projects such as the 'Bosque Casual' (Casual Forest) and the 'Habitación Solidaria' (Solidarity Room); in addition to various sponsorships related to children's sports.”

Tasting notes:

Gourmet EVOO obtained from early harvesting and cold extraction to preserve all its organoleptic characteristics (below 27ºC).

This is an oil from Picual variety olives harvested at the end of October. Once the harvesting process is complete, it is stored in stainless steel drums at the appropriate temperature until subsequent bottling.

From olive groves located in the Chauchina area (Granada). Filtered EVOO.

Tasting: Medium fruitiness, green with ripe tones. Balanced spicy and bitter. Very smooth on the palate. Slightly astringent with notes of tomato plant, tomato, slight hints of vegetables, green grass, and leaf.

About the Fundación Alma de Luna:

The Fundación Alma de Luna is a non-profit organization based in Granada, created with the aim of promoting children's health, nutrition, and well-being through solidarity, outreach, and research initiatives. Through the sale of its extra virgin olive oil, the Foundation allocates 100% of the profits to research, education, and social action projects developed in collaboration with the University of Granada, among other academic institutions and social entities, with the aim of generating a positive and sustainable impact on childhood and the community.

Casual Hoteles, a chain that turns every hotel into a narrative universe:

Casual Hoteles was born in Spain with a clear conviction: traveling is also about interpreting the world. Since its founding in Valencia in 2013 by Juan Carlos Sanjuán, the chain has worked to ensure that every hotel is more than just a place to sleep; it is a narrative universe where design, creativity, and local identity merge. Its network spans cities as diverse as Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, Benidorm, Bilbao, Cádiz, Granada, Málaga, San Sebastián, Seville, and Ibiza in Spain; Lisbon and Porto in Portugal; Florence and Milan in Italy; and Athens in Greece.

In each of these cities, Casual Hoteles deploys its theming philosophy: each accommodation has a personal decoration, inspired by the soul of its destination, and offers central locations, high quality standards, and accessible prices. This disruptive creativity has been recognized with awards such as the Hostelco for Best Hotel Concept, in addition to accolades in matters of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Furthermore, Casual Hoteles integrates sustainability and solidarity as strategic pillars of its business model, through initiatives such as its solidarity policy, the environmental 'Bosque Casual' project —aimed at offsetting the carbon footprint through reforestation— and the 'Habitación Solidaria', which allocates part of its income to support social causes. The chain maintains a firm Code of Ethics and is committed to responsible growth that places people and the planet at the center of its activity. Today, with 26 hotels and 1,005 rooms in 16 cities across Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece, Casual Hoteles reaffirms its ambition for cultural and thematic expansion, making each hotel a manifesto of a meaningful journey.
